De Parcs Naturals i Glaceres!

Hola a tothom!

Avui tinc mil coses a explicar, mil fotos a processar, i com sempre poc temps per a actualitzar. Són les nou i mitja del vespre i un cop tot preparat per anar a dormir, i aprofitant que per primer cop en molt de temps hem pagat un camping amb wifi i dutxa, actualitzaré tant ràpid com pugui i me'n aniré a dormir pitant! Per que veigueu les condicions precaries amb les que actualitzo, aki teniu la meva oficina! XD

 

Farem un repassillu rapid dels passats dies.

Sortint de Fairbanks, vam anar direcció sud cap a North Pole... (ja, no té sentit però k hi farem). És la que segons anuncien, és una de les residències del Pare Noel. És força curiós com la ciutat viu en un Nadal perenne. Fins i tot els fanals estaven pintats com si fossin bastons de caramel... Com a mínim curiós! jajaja

Un cop vist això, ens esperaven dies de carretera. Vam anar fent km fins al Wrangell - Saint Elias National Park. El que crec que és el park natural més gran dels Estats Units, i si no ho és m'ho he acabat d'inventar! XD

De camí ens va nevar, i un cop alà, ens vam fotre a una pista que com se'n enterin l'empresa de lloguer del cotxe els sentireu fins a Barcelona! jajaja Però tot va anar bé i el cotxe va aguantar com un campió!Avui el tenim tot enfangat, que l'haurem de portar a rentar...

Al final d'aquesta pista a part de unes vistes espectaculars com durant tot el trajecte, hi ha una antiga explotació minera. Hi havíem d'arribar caminant (unes 5 milles) i quan ja ens quedava més aviat poquet va passar un pick-up que ens van oferir de portar-nos. A la tornada van tenir la sort  que també ens van portar, sinó se'ns hagués fet tard per a fer les 60 milles de pista forestal de tornada! Però bé, hauríem dormit dintre el parc, i tot arreglat!

Un cop sortits del parc natural, ens vam trobar al mig del no res sense massa menjar i buscant lloc on dormir. No trobàvem massa cosa, i vam decidir anar fins a Valdez, la nostra següent parada. Vam arribar ja tard, però vam tenir la sort de veure unes vistes genials de les muntanyes nevades i els glaciars que hi ha de camí a la ciutat. Com no, vam parar a fer fotos també! :)










I avui de bon matí, tot i el vent que fotia, hem anat a fer una mica de muntanya! No us explico res, només us en deixo una petita mostra! ;)

Cercle Polar Artic!

Amb la Sunny ja aquí, avui acabem de tornar de passar la nit i veure més aurores boreals al Cercle Polar Artic! Increhible oi?¿ Jo encara no m'ho crec! XD


Hem fet uns 600 i picu km (anada i tornada) la majoria d'ells per la Dalton Highway! Que és una carretera mig salvatge. És un lloc super inhòspit, on només hi van camioners, caçadors, pescadors, alguns tours organitzats de turistes, i naltrus! Només hi ha una estació de servei, que també és l'únic lloc on pots parar a menjar i comprar quatre coses essencials... A part, la carretera no esta esfaltada, tot i que no és una pista forestal tampoc...

Per a l'ocasió hem hagut de llogar un trasto bastant gros, per que amb els cotxes normals de lloguer no t'hi deixen anar. Necessites un cotxe preparat, i amb un bidó de benzina molt gran, ja que has de portar gasoil de sobres!

Aquesta carretera va casi paral·lela a l'oleoducte que porta el petroli de les explotacions petrolíferes del nord. De fet, es deuria crear al construir aquest oleoducte.

Avui ha sigut la nit més freda que hem tingut de moment amb diferència. No sé a quan vam arribar ahir a la nit, però avui ens hem llevat, i tot el que normalment és condensació avui estava glaçat!

Pero tranquils, que estem preparats! Portàvem roba d'abric per a parar un tren! De fet a la primera foto (més a munt) portava 6 capes entre samarretes i jerseis, a part de les malles tèrmiques, mitjons gruixuts i pantalons d'esquí!! Les nits al cotxe son fredes, però naltrus no ho notem! :D

 

Aprofito aquestes últimes fotos, per a presentar-vos a la Sunny. La amiga amb qui compartiré el que queda de viatge! Gracies a ella, començaré a aparèixer a alguna foto! XD

Doncs res això és tot per avui. Demà ja marxarem de Fairbanks i ens encaminarem cap al sud on ens esperen més paisatges impressionants, més parcs naturals, i fins i tot glaciars cap al final del viatge!! Potser ja no tindrem tantes aurores boreals al anar més cap al sud, tot i que vista la sort que hem tingut no descarto tornar-ne a veure! Tot i que sembla que també ens encaminem al mal temps altre cop...

Vinga doncs! K vagi bé i fins la pròxima!

With sunny already here, today we just came back to spend the night and see some northern lights in the Arctic Circle!! Isn't it crazy!? It's hard to believe even for me!

We drove for more than 600 km (roundtrip) most of them through the Dalton Haigway! It is a road that goes all the way north to the Arctic Ocean. It is an remote route only used by truck drivers, hunters, fishers, touristic tours and us! In the part where we had been driving, there is only one gas station where you can also ear something warm and buy some essential things... So you can imagine how wild it is. Also, most of the parts are not paved, though it is not hard to drive.

To be able to drive through, we needed to rent a pick up ready for the challenge, because you can not get there with your regular car. You need a big fuel tankbecause you can not trust in finding gas stations for a long long time.

This road goes more or less parallel to the pipeline that brings oil from the north. Actually the road was build at the same time than the pipeline.

Tonight, it was by far the most cold night we had here in Alaska. I don't now which temperature we rich yesterday but at morning when we woke up, what it normally is condensation, today was ice! 

But don't worry that we are ready! We had enough warm cloth! As a matter of fact, on the first picture I was wearing 6 layers on the top with leggins and ski pants and thick socks! Nights at car are cold, but we didn't notice it! :D

I take advantage of the next pictures to introduce you Sunny. The friend that is joining me for the next part of the trip! Thanks to her I'll have company and I also will appear to some pictures too! XD

So that's all for today! Tomorrow we are leaving Fairbanks, to go south where we will find amazing landscapes, more natural parks, and glaciers by the end of the trip! About the northern lights, it will be more difficult now on, because we are heading south and it's not as likely to happen. But being as lucky as I had been, I can not discard to see them again soon!  Although it seems that the weather will not be as favorable as it had been lately!

More Northern Lights!!

Després de una nit fent guàrdia al cotxe sota la pluja, esperant a que amainés, sense massa sort i bastant fred. Fa dues nits, la nit de dijous, després de un dia de sol espaterrant vaig tenir una nit clara clara sense ni un núvol.

La previsió d'Aurores era alta, i estic a un bon lloc on, si passen, segur que les veig! Així que vaig preparar la càmera, el trípode i l'intervalòmetre. Em vaig abrigar tant com vaig poder, i la sort em va tornar a somriure. No només van aparèixer, sinó que van ser molt actives! I vaig tenir la previsió de plantar la càmera cap a un sector del cel que va resultar ser molt molt actiu! Així doncs, aquí teniu una petita mostra del espectacle que vaig poder tornar a veure!

Aquest vespre ve la Sunny, l'amiga que s'uneix en el segon tram del viatge! Just arriba ella que també arriba el bon temps, així doncs, avui segurament i si trobem un bon lloc podrem avistar-les de nou! A més a més, ens esperen mil aventures més encara, a part de les Northern Lights! Ja intentaré mantenir-vos al dia de totes elles! ;)

After a night waiting for the rain to stop inside the car, with much cold, but without much luck...
Two nights ago after a really sunny day, I was able to see again the Northern Lights!

The Northern Lights forecast was good, and the weather was not likely to be a problem! I got the camera ready, the tripod and all the gadgets. I got the most warm cloth I have and I got ready to spend another night outside! And the luck smiled to me again! Not only did they shine, but they also shined in a very vivid and active way. I was so lucky because I faced the camera to a really active sector of the sky, and the show was amazing again!

This evening Sunny will arrive, she is the friend that is joining e for the second part of my trip. With her is coming also the sun. It's kind of funny that Sunny is bringing the sun! Isn't it?¿ XD
Seems likely that today we will see the northern lights again!

And a part of the Northern lights, there are plenty of new adventures waiting ahead of us! I will keep you updated about all them! ;)
